The Pacific School is following all local and state regulations to protect the health of our school community. Home COVID test kits are available in the K8 and High School offices.
The following resources support our COVID School Safety Plan:
- CDPH School Guidance (updated 07/11/24). The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) continually updates its framework to support school communities. CDPH provides guidance for K–12 schools to support safe in-person services and mitigate the spread of communicable diseases during the 2024-2025 School Year.
- Managing Individuals with Symptoms. PCCS is following the actions below as recommended by the CDPH:
- For a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 infection, follow the recommendations provided in CDC Preventing Spread of Respiratory Viruses When You’re Sick.
- Follow guidance for when a child has symptoms of illness in a school or child care to support decision-making.
- Avoid policies that incentivize coming to school or child care while sick.
- Share educational resources and health-related information (e.g., AAP Healthy Children) when appropriate.
