School News & Updates

In October the TK-3 classes went on a trip to the Historic Skunk Train out of Willits. Students learned about the history of the train line from Willits to Fort Bragg. A musician entertained everyone on board with train songs. The train went to Crowely, an old logging stop, where students got to pick out a pumpkin to take home. Thanks to all the chaperones who could attend and the Redwood Coast Education Foundation for supporting the trip with a grant!

School News & Updates

Our All School Campout was so much fun! TK-8 students started the day at Big River where they had time to explore the beach, meet with an educator from the Noyo Center for Marine Science, build sand castles, and run about. Chaperones gathered together to learn more about our RULER social-emotional learning curriculum and share ideas. The high school crew stopped at Navarro Beach for skim boarding and rock collecting before heading up to the Albion Field Station where everyone convened.

School News & Updates

High School students are starting the year strong with their community service volunteer hours! Several of our students helped with our arts table at the Fish Fest on Sunday. Festival goers stopped by for painting individual marine sea creatures to take home and contributed to the collaborative seascape painting that we started during a summer ELO session. Thanks to the family volunteers who also helped staff our booth…remember to log your volunteer hours.
